Indigenous people in Venezuela have gained more rights and improvements in their living conditions after 10 years of government led by President Hugo Chavez than in the previous 500 years since colonisation. Evo Morales is Latin America's first Indigenous president and has introduced significant improvements to the lives of the Indigenous majority in Bolivia. But in Australia, the plight of Indigenous people continues to deteriorate.
Speakers: Pat Eatock (Sydney Aboriginal activist), Oscar Perez (leader of ADEPU Chile) and Coral Wynter (Australia-Venezuela Solidarity Network).
